This neat, contemporary flat would be just that - a neat, contemporary flat - were it not for its jaw-dropping views of Barcelona’s most famous work of art. Have your morning café con leche with views of the Sagrada Familia; sip your evening cerveza with views of the Sagrada Familia… you get the picture. Just book it already.

What’s the budget range? A little bit more expensive than others in the city but… hey, did we mention those views?

What’s it like to stay here? Moving away from those views for just a moment, We love the underplayed Oceanic colour scheme and snuggly bedrooms.

Plus it sleeps four (in two bedrooms), so works out nice and cheap. But if you want the whole thing to yourself? Well, it’s important to indulge in some ‘me time’, so that’s totally something we can endorse. Do it.

What’s it like to stay here? We love the exposed brick and vintage decor that gives this place a trendy feel.

Nearby, you'll find the likes of Park Güell and Casa Vicens where you can get your fill of Gaudi's stunning architecture.

What’s the budget range? A moderately-priced cityscape with a tonne of historical charm - great for a friends' trip or honeymooning. 

What’s it like to stay here? The jaw-droppingly beautiful antique interiors feel like stepping back in time. From the high ceilings to the mosaic tiling, there's impressive detailing everywhere you look. Comfort-wise, the spacious, light-filled rooms are ultra-calm.

Located at the bottom of Montjuic, this one-of-a-kind apartment has ‘hidden gem’ written all over it. One glance and we fell in love with all those vintage, patchworked accessories and hot pink soft furnishings. It sleeps just two, but provides a different vibe to the normal couple’s getaway spots. The main draw here is the outside space and the Barca-wide views. Yes, it’s six floors up (and there’s no elevator) but, honey, it’s worth it.

What’s the budget range? A medium-range price point for a quirky, one-off home. It’s really generously sized for just two guests and provides plenty of cosy couples’ spaces to chill out in.

What’s it like to stay here? This lovely, light-filled apartment will give you a taste of the artist’s life and – who knows – maybe inspire you to pick up a paintbrush while you’re here. Play spot-the-Sagrada Familia from the terrace and take lots of pics of the cute-as-hell décor.

Designed by Gaudi's good pal Bonaventura Conill, this luxurious five-bed sits just opposite the Casa Batlló – it goes without saying that the views from the balcony are absolutely sensational, while inside is every bit as sleek as it is elegant. Featuring high ceilings, exposed brick, patchwork panelling (a very unique touch) and cool-toned decors throughout. Our favourite room is easily the open-plan living/dining - it's fluid, relaxed and great for entertaining. 

What’s the budget range? On the luxury end of the scale with unparalleled views of Manzana de la Discordia and a range of high-end boutiques. 

What’s it like to stay here? Fabulous from start to end. The living space is incredibly spacious and secure, with lots of design flare and homey touches.
